As the financial year draws to an end we are delighted to announce that a staggering £12,000 was raised by staff and families of the Chelmsford office to support local hospice, Farleigh which offers support and respite to those affected by cancer and other life limiting illnesses.
Farleigh Hospice was selected by staff as Charity of the Year 2015 after our former Financial Director Roger Raffell sadly passed away after spending some time at the Hospice during a battle with cancer.
Farleigh were overwhelmed with our support and have passed on their gratitude. Chelmsford staff organised, a quiz, raffles, cake sales, a car wash, a FAT Thursday themed doughnut eating day, and attended and sponsored a fun run amongst other initiatives.
Jacqui Brown who leads the charity partnerships for the office said
“This is great testament to what we can achieve when we all work together. The invaluable funds raised will go towards supporting other families in the same warm way Farleigh supported Rogers, thank you to everyone for donating, supporting, running, buying and eating over the past year, we’re really looking forward to seeing what next years fundraising has in store for the office!”
Chelmsford’s 2016’s charity is yet to be selected, staff will be asked to vote via an online survey in the next few weeks.
